On behalf
of the Perrysburg Symphony Association
and the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra, I would like to welcome you to our
48th season. I am excited
to present the 2008-2009 season. We
welcome back Dr. Barbara Specht as conductor of the PSO. As
a conductor at Heidelberg College, she brings both experience and enthusiasm to
the symphony. We are delighted to
have her return as part of our organization.
Our season
begins with Tales of Enchantment, our Halloween concert, at Owens Community
College, Center for Fine and Performing Arts. Our
December Concert joins the
Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra with
the Perrysburg Symphony Chorale at St. Rose Church in Perrysburg for a Holiday
Celebration. Mozart by Candlelight will
be in March, 2009, at Trinity Church in downtown Toledo.
We hope to have a Derby Day dinner party – our fund raiser- at Carranor
Hunt & Polo Club. Our final
concert will feature our Young Artist Concerto Competition winners and Side by
Side with the Perrysburg High School at Owens.
As a patron
of the Perrysburg Symphony, I understand that the PSO cannot exist without our
financial support. Buying tickets,
attending concerts, and supporting the symphony are essential as we go toward
another successful year of music. Enjoy
– and bring your friends!
Sincerely,
Barbara
